So here's the part of a raglan sweater pattern that I love so much already and it's just a square of the front that I can not understand after much searching for the answer:
SHAPING THE ARMHOLE:
(starting with 66 sts)
Row 1 and all WS rows Purl. Row 2 K2, p1, k to last 3 sts, p1, k2. Row 4 (dec row) K2, p1, k1, ssk, k to last 6 sts, k2tog, k1, p1, k2. Working in pat as established, rep dec row every 6th row 3 times and every 4th row 6 times- 46 sts.
if the pattern that is established only has 4 rows, how do i add the dec row every 6th row? and what does the 3 times mean? Is "rep the dec row" just adding the stitch and adding it 3 times to every 6th row? what is going on here??!!!
thank you in advanced to whoever is kind enough to help a starved knitter of 3 days because of this one part in the pattern.
