Simple Hat Pattern needed please!

My sister made me a scarf and I love it. She says she got the yarn from Dollarama. She thinks the name of it is Sparkle or Glitter or Twinkle or something like that. I want to get some more and make a hat with it. I will visit my local Dollarama stores and she says if I can't get it there, she will go to the store she got it from and get me 2 or 3 more skeins. It is a stretchy sort of yarn. My question to you all is this... does anyone have a pattern for a ladies hat, a simple stocking cap, made in garter stitch and knitted flat, so I can make a hat to match this scarf? I can't tell if it's for kids or adults though and I think the gauge would different if you're using that novelty yarn. Maybe you can use it as a jumping off point though.

Having said that, this yarn is the funky fur or whatever you call it there. It is very stretchy and must be knit on large needles, so I don`t know that this hat is the thing I need. Any other ideas...
