Recs for a good swift? I have a winder but am caving.....
after trying to wind a very big hank of Malabrigo today and having a bit of trouble handling it with just my left hand and a ball winder.

Thanks for your input!

I like mine. I bought it from Schoolhouse Press.

That's the one I have, too. It's a real piece of workmanship. You can find them cheaper, but I know that this one will last me forever.

BUT, you did get instant gratification! I have to wait. I don't like to wait. I've never seen any at my local LYS, don't think she carries them. So wait is what I shall do.

I got a combo set (swift & ball winder) from e-bay. Both items cost me $85 US. (not including shipping... dont get me started on that cos i paid about $40 to get it shipped to OZ!)
They're awesome, I dont know how i ever lived without them!!

I found a table-top swift for $35 on Etsy (I have wrestled too many times with the clamp-on ones).
