I tried twice casting on for this pattern, but my gague seemed too big for the baby's head. Do you remember what size needles you used and how many inches the actual ribbing came out to? I think mine was 20" so I put the project aside, but seeing yours makes me want to take it up again.

That is perfect! I've been trying to come up with something to knit for my little niece and this is perfect!
I'm knitting hats for everyone else in the family and I really didnt want to show up without something for Hannah Banana. Yay!

Mimi - I used Caron Simply Soft yarn and size 7 needles. I cast on 80 stitches. The ribbing is about 12-13 inches around not stretched (it is very stretchy). If you think yours is too big, you could cast on less stitches. The pattern works with multiples of 8 stitches. I also did a smaller one casting on 64 stitches. I think it would fit a 3-6 month old. Hope this helps.
