It's made in what's called a top down raglan style which is knit in one piece. You start at the neck, do increases on every other row, part of the sts become the sleeves. It's really not all that hard.

Glad you got your answer. I was just fixing to respond. I'm really excited about making this. My instructor made the border a little bit bigger to cover a little more of her chest (she's a little bit bigger than the model) and it turned out soo cute. My daughter even likes it - now I just have to find the yarn that she likes so I can make it for her. Good luck!
