Swiss Darning/Dup Stitch

Hi everyone I know how to(have done) dup st on stockinette stitch (for designs, initials,etc) but is there a way to do a dup st on garter? I have a garter border going on a baby blanket, (5sts) just realized that I have a couple of rws of a boo-boos (bumps are on the WS) so I thought maybe I could "cover up"the "boo-boo" with a little design or maybe baby initials any thoughts...Thank you Cheley

Swiss darning in garter looks like intarsia in garter - you get those bicolour purl bumps that most people think is ugly. There's a good Knitty article on it http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/FEATfall04TT.html though.
