Adventures in Sock knitting
I have started the heel cuff!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!

It's getting exciting.... This is my first pair of socks so it's all new to me. I did have to frog back to the cuff because I forgot to change my yarn (the heel and toe are different colors than the rest).

It's such a cute pattern and I am really enjoying knitting a sock.... I can really see my self making more.

One thing that I did mess up on was the cuff pattern was for a 1x1 rib and I did a 2x2, but the number of cast on was divisible by 4 so it worked out ok. I also knitted on spot where I should have purled and purled where I should have knitted, but it's a small mistake and that's what makes it hand knit...

I hope I have time to knit more socks for Christmas!

Here's the pics...

Looking really good. I like the k2 p2 rib it gives a little more elasticity.
I have just turned the heel today of a pair of ruffled socks using Artasano Hummingbird.

Thanks everyone...

Last night I had to frog it!!!! I messed up picking up the gusset and I tried to save the heel cuff but my stitches were really messed up, some how I ended up with ALL my stitches for the leg part on ONE needle! Not sure how I did that and some of the stiches unraveled and got all weird when I tried to fix it... so I'm back at the beginning of the heel cuff again... at least I didn't have to frog the whole thing! That's good...
