I took a class at the LYS to learn to do Fairisle. The pattern was a simple little hat. I did the red one first and the white ones later at home. I can't remember what yarn I used because it was mostly stuff from my stash. I do remember the yarn being wool. I used a size 7 needle.
Wow, they look great! And the gorgeous model helps too!
