Avoiding Holes with Slipped Sts.
Instructions on a pattern are that to avoid a hole while knitting sl sts, knit the stitch 1 row below together with the sl st. How on earth is this done? I've tried it so many different ways and always end up with 2 stitches instead of 1. Please help me!

Lift the stitch that's below up onto the left needle, so the two are on there next to each other. Then knit them together.
