I am adding to my Ravelry Stash page
This is one of the things I really need to complete to get a handle on my stash. I am a little afraid to find out just how much yarn I really have. All those projects not begun.
It takes a while to take all the pictures and save them to Flicker and then add them to Ravelry. I am writing this as 2 bags of yarn are loading onto Flicker...

Yeah for me!!!

BR (Before Ravelry) I made an accounting of my Yarn Stash using Excel because it also adds up the yardage. Sigh. Wanna know my total yardage? I will await your answer!

I have finally started to put my stash into Ravelry. I really hope that it will help me get control over what I have. I have projects in mind for almost all of the yarn I buy. But organizing all of it and then figuring out what I want to cast on next is my downfall.

Wow! That's amazing. I would be really afraid to find out how much yardage I have. I added some more yarns just a little while ago. I am up to 94 with a few more bins to go. I guess that is part of the destash process though isn't it?
Okay what's the bad news...good news?

I'm in!

I have a bin of yarn that I purchased for making the Great American Aran Afghan. My goal is to finish that blanket in 2008. That would give me an entire bin of storage space for fun new purchases!

My only exception is for charity projects. If I don't have yarn that meets the exact requirements when the project gets to me then I'm definitely going shopping, with a coupon of course!

I would like to join. I'm secksiebrat on ravelry. I think I'm going to try and focus on my "sock" yarn this year. I've got enough to probably make 8-10 pairs of socks. I'd be happy if that after my christmas knitting was done I could work on some socks, inbetween some of my other projects to work done my sock yarn addiction.

Oh, please count me in! I wasn't part of this years destashing although I was with you in spirit. I worked hard at using my stash yarns and not purchasing random yarn without a project in mind. It was such a struggle.

128,553 yards (978 skeins/hanks/balls)

So much to knit, so little time.

S.A.B.L.E. Stash Acquistions Beyond Life Expectancy!

2008 will change this ridiculous yardage total dramatically!

Welcome little purl girl! You are in the right place at the right time!
Get your yarns organized, roll up your sleeves with us, and get out those needles! 2008, here we come...ready or not!

Welcome Danielle!

Besides De-Stashing... my other goals for 2008 are: learn to knit socks, and Entrelac-anything. I even have some sock yarn that I bought at the Western Washington State Fair about 4 or 5 years ago. I didn't know it was sock yarn until I swatched it. Sigh.

Good for you! We look forward to seeing your Stash Projects. Be sure and post them here on our thread, as well as in Whatcha Knitting. Or, link us to your Whatcha Knitting post!
