Yeah, like I'm gonna be sitting here at the 'puter on New Year's Eve watching the clock.

Or am I?

I know I'll be up, knitting...and my DH will be in bed, as usual.
He goes to bed when the chickens do, and I'm the nightowl. Makes ya wonder how in the world we managed to create 5 children, don't it??

I think that on New Year's Eve we will be drinking with lots of friends. Usually we're with the parents, but this year we decided to get back to basics. We don't do Christmas , so New Year's Eve is our only holiday we brought from Russia and we try to keep it going with presents and family dinner and watching special shows on the Russian channels on cables all night through.

I haven't posted any FO's recently, so here are a few small ones ( I didn't get to taking photos of the bigger ones yet). I've knitted them all for one of the groups on Ravelry.

Pattern: Vine Lace Baby Hat by Sandi Wiseheart.
Yarn: Unknown soft acrylic in cream color.
Needles: 3.25 mm.
I don't remember what size i made.
It's a lovely, easy and quick pattern that i highly recommend.

Pattern: Cabled Baby Hats by Julie Hentz.
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.
Needles: 5.00mm.
Size: Newborn.
I think it's a little big for a newborn, but the pattern is great and it looks absolutely adorable!

And the last but not least:
Pattern:Saartje's Bootees by Saartje de Bruijn.
Yarn: the same acrylic as the first hat.
Needles:2.75 mm.
Size: Large, because my yarn was so much lighter than the suggested, so i think they turned out to be newborn size.
The buttons are real mother of pearl that i had for ages and thought they should look good on the booties.

All stash projects!
I hope you like them

Oh Nat!!! These are simply DIVINE projects! I love them all!
those little hats are just too darn cute! And I really want to thank you for taking time to post links for us! I saved them all! I will use that cabled baby hat for my next baby gift set! I like how substantial it is! The lacey hat is very sweet, too! I love the little shoes! They look like they would take 10 grams of yarn and one evening! Very unique design!

Thanks again!!!!

Zday was all good
They're really pretty Nat! It's almost a pity there's no babies in my imeadiate future, especially since my DBS would love the vine hat. and the Matching Booties. they look posh enough for a christening/naming/announcing/whatever-you-personally-do.
Today was Z-day, as in 'Zam Results. And...
I PASSED!!!

And after using a calculator, I found I still can't do math and one of my swatches is bang on the money which is good because I was making a new one and it was too big and evil badness happened so thats fixed
so I'm going to celebrate. and shop. Now all I need are some sales, and a few hard to find items to turn up.

I'm in! I signed up for this year of the stash, and used a bit, but not as much as I'd like. I just did some mittens for dd, and will do another pair for other dd before Christmas. I'm looking for those little projects.

On the other hand, I did some specific projects that required the purchase of new yarn, so I probably cancelled out whatever progress I made.

I've also wanted to do a log cabin blanket....so using up stash for a log cabin stashgan is just the ticket!

Now to find time to sort and plan.....

Does the schedule have an 09 train listed???
Will there be a 2009 Stash Train? I didn't read all the post only the 1st few and last few. But I would like to buy a ticket for 09 if that train's a comin round the mountain. I find I tend to but 1 or 2 skeins just cuz I like it. I bought 101 one skein wonders and mason dixon knitting and have enjoyed knitting from them. My stash isn't terribly large since I've only been knitting a few months, however I can see it becoming a LARGE problem, especially since I found a LYS. (I've only been 2x, cuz I can see the $$$ flying out of my wallet.) Hope to see some of you on the next train.

Great, I'll see everyone at the station. I'm going to go thru my stash and reintroduce myself to it.
