BEGINNER PATTERN FOR FAIR ISLE

Does anyone know where I can find a free Fair Isle pattern for a beginner. I really want to try this techinque, but want something simple to start with.

There are a simple pair of two color fair isle mittens on knitty LIttle Pink Mittens It's easier to start with two colors to get the hang of not having floating threads in the back. The video that Jan linked to is wonderful! I'd never seen that before. I loved fair isle and hope when I finish all these darn scoggers (medieval arm warmers) that I can get on to some mittens I want to do. Don't get stressed about it if you do end up with floaters. They can be a bit annoying, but they won't show on the front. The nice thing about weaving your stitches in is that your floaters won't make your work all tight as they sometimes can.

Thanks Jan in CA and Knitcook for the links. The video is great!!! It will be while before I can get to trying this, but I'm researching it right now. I did pull out my copy of Knitting for Dummies and it has pretty good instructions. I just love the look and can't wait to try it.
