Lol, I know what you mean. Even my mom asked me what the "friends" feature was for. I was like, "I have no idea!" She said she noticed I have a lot of friends and she was wondering how I got them. I explained that most are from KH

When Ravelry is more open, it might be a more fun place to chat, but for now it's kind of like a big empty room. This is more like the corner coffee shop.

yup, there's even a butch/femme group, have you noticed?

I have used it a LOT to look at what other people are doing with yarn I have. I am committed to buying no more yarn until I can fit it all in one 3 drawer storage container so ravelry helps there. I have found people local to me that share interests as well. I am still not OMG Ravelry but getting there

I wasn't impressed with it when I first got my invite in August. But in the last couple of months I've really grown to enjoy using it. I love keeping track of my progress on things and it provides incentive to keep going.

I love the groups! Have had a lot of fun with the Dexter group as well as a couple other TV shows. Our Log Cabin Charity group here has a group there as well.

I really like looking through projects that others have done.
I can read blogs of friends as well as see the stuff they've added to their lists.

I'm not a physically social person, either, but I do enjoy groups and message boards alot.

I really love looking at the other knitters projects and reading thier comments about the yarn and patterns they used. The database is getting bigger and better every day.
As for the social aspect, I don't have much interest. KH is my forum to visit :-).

Aw, gee - c'mon and see:
