Help with pattern please

I made the Bunny Blanket Buddy from Lion Brand. My head is square and not round. Also, I was not sure how to stuff it since there is no hole left in which to do so...at least not in the pattern. I made a mistake which left a little hole so I used that. My mother in law wants me to make another one for a friend of hers and I want it to be right this time. Do you know how to make the head round like it is in the picture? Have any of you made it before?

I haven't made this but the head does look a bit square in the picture. Maybe the stuffing is supposed to help round it out.

As far as stuffing it goes, you thread yarn through your stitches, stuff it, and then pull it tight to close it. Sort of like the top of a hat. Does that make sense?

I did that but there is no hole left before you pull the yarn together. That is what I expected to happen too but it did not. Maybe it was a mistake of mine. Who knows. I will say it is very cute though and my kids love it. L:ooks like I will have to make several of these just for them. Thanks for you post though!!!
