Need Help with Reversing Pattern

I am knitting a pair of fingerless gauntlets with a thumb gusset. I have finished the left gauntlet and the directions for the right gauntlet just say to reverse the gusset for the right side. Does this mean to knit the pattern backwards? I'm not quite sure how to read the pattern now. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

My guess would be to just insert the gusset on the other side. In other words, if you worked across the palm and then started the gusset for the left one, then knit across the top of the hand before you start the gusset for the right one.
