I just measured my both feet and even though I wear a US9 (wish there was a 9 1/4) my feet measured 10 1/4.

Hope this helps

Yes, shoe size numbers don't really have anything to do with inches. A size 9 foot will be about 10 inches, and a 9.5 will be about 10.2 inches. Can you imagine if a size 5 foot was 5 inches?

OTN: Corona, Miter square blanket, Charity blankets

Here is the International Shoe Size Conversion Chart:

Great to use if you're a sock knitter like me. If I want to surprise someone with a pair of handknit socks, the only thing I really need to know is their shoe size.
