Safety Eyes
Hey all,
I'm attempting to put safety eyes on an Xmas teddy, and can't get them closed. is there a trick to this or do I need to buy a special doo-hicky?

I am not a fan of the safety eyes myself for that same reason, I tend to opt for the bead buttons (not really safe for little ones) or embroidered eyes, which in my opinion never look quite as good.

I guess it depends on the safety eyes too...some have little grooves much like a screw (but don't function as one) or, the ones that don't.

I find that pressing your weight even with your thumbs positioned on either side of the plastic disc will usually do the trick.

Failing that...I use my fiancees more forceful thumbs...they are a pain aren't they!
