Slip 2 sts to the cable needle to front, P1, K2 from the cable needle

i am assuming that you know and have a cable needle, so that means you are knitting with 3 needles, you slip the 2 sts on to the cable needle and either put this to the front of your work or the back of your work depending what the patterns says, then knit what ever the patterns say, then you knit the stitches of the cable needle and the carry on
