Happy Hanukkah!
Happy Hanukkah everyone! In the next 8 days we will be lighting candles in memory of the Maccabi rebellion and victory over the Seleucid Antiochus IV and the rededication of the Second Temple. I wish everyone the miracles like the one that kept the oil burning for 8 day in the "container of oil" of the Temple instead of just one day. This holiday is all about oily and totally unhealthy food such as the "sufganiyot" - big round donuts filled with jam or other goodies. Diet, here we come!

Happy Hanukkah!!! I was just explaining to my kids the other night about the eight candles and the oil. Glad to see I had most of it right. Enjoy!

Happy Hanukkah!! My roommate is Jewish so I bought a menorah this weekend and I'm super excited to light the first candle! I'm making her teach me some prayers too.
