LOL, that reminds me of a cat I lost about 4 years ago! Linda LOVED tormenting the young german shepherd we got, and she adored sleeping under the Christmas tree--she was pure white and blended in so well with the white fluffy tree skirt that the dogs rarely spotted her. And even if they did, it was so hard for them to get under the branches to reach for her that she could let 'em have it with her claws! (Oh, herself was a FEISTY l'il wench!)
