Oh definitely, it's really encouraging. I'm working on a hat to match now, double-pointed needles are scary!

That's great for your first, I'm on my 5th project and still intimidated with knitting with two or more colors on one project. I haven't even tried yet, lol. . .

Oh, it's really no big deal compared to other stuff! I'd really recommend the video about it on here, that's what helped me. She really makes it clear.
