WIP, MagKnits Hannah Hat
I saw the post about the MagKnits but didn't pay it much attention. I thought it was just another magazine and I would have to buy it if I wanted a pattern from it. Then I had a visitor today who told me about a pattern in that mag that is free on the internet. I checked and sure enough it was a hat that I really liked. Off I went to the LYS, with friend in tow, and bought the yarn and buttons to make a Hannah hat for ME! Of course I purchased RED yarn and RED buttons (I was lucky to get buttons almost the same colour as the yarn). I CO for the hat and I am half way through the decrease already. This is going to be a really soft, warm hat. Picture to follow tomorrow. I'll go back to those damned scarves after I finish MY new hat!

FO MagKnits Hannah Hat...
OK this WIP is now an FO! I knit this hat flat because I don't know how to knit in the round yet. It is a very easy pattern, instructions are great. It worked up easily and is very comfy. Great idea for us ponytail girls!! I will post a picture when I can get someone to take one for me. It's back to scarf hell for me!

Is this like a Calormetry (sp?). I want to make one for DDIL who has long hair.
Can't wait to see what you've made.

Good for you! Can't wait to see the finished product! I'm planning to make two of these for my dd's who have loooong hair and have to wear pony tails every day to keep the hair out of the food, art projects, etc.

PICS of Hannah Hat
Sorry the colours are not clear, the batteries died on the camera just as I was taking these shots. Honestly this is a red hat! The back is a better picture than the front.
If I had it to do over again, I think I would make this hat on a smaller needle with a bit thicker yarn. The Bernat Harmony is too light for a winter hat.
