Best Needle Sets?

I am a beginner knitter and could use different inputs on what would be the best circular needle sets to invest in. So far I have been using the wooden circulars and I do better on those, also with DPN's I use wooden. But for a full set, so I won't have to keep going out buying different sizes for different patterns, what would some good options be? I love Knitting!

after reading about the different sets, I don't know which to begin with. I like the options because it has the option to get the circulars with wood, which I prefer. But, it only has 24" cables and I need shorter, for smaller size projects. LOL...descisions, descisions!
