hello my name is mercedes and i am interested in learning how to knit. How do i make my first stitch? is there anyone that has a video of this or an explanation that is not too confusing? thank you!

You've come to the right place! At the top of the page here there is a tab for the videos. You'll want to start with learning how to CO (cast on) the stitches, then you can learn to knit. If you can get it from the videos that's great. If you need more help or need something you can print out check these two sites.
