Rib pattern with circular needles
I plan to start a hat and do a different edging, a nice rib pattern from Nicky Epstein's book, Knitting on the Edge. Since I'm using circular needles and knitting in the round, I'm wondering if I just follow the regular rib pattern. For example, my pattern is Row 1 (RS) *K3, sl 1 purlwise, rep from * to end.
Row 2 Purl. Rep. rows 1 and 2 until desired length.

The reason I'm confused is that I know if you want stockinette stitch in the round you just knit every row. I know you have to mark the beginning row to keep track of rows.
I'm new at adapting patterns!

It appears that it is stockinette so I would think you'd just knit that second row and continue as per pattern. You could try it and see how it looks.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

When converting flat knitting to round, you have to reverse the stitches on the wrong-side rows, so you would just knit the second round.
