Handling tension with 2 ply thin & silky yarn
I knit both ways and prefer in this case (my first gloves) to use #2 12" circular addy and knit continental. I am having difficulty keeping the yarn tension enough to knit; if I knit english I do fine, but it is soo slow. Question -- Are there any tricks to keep tension on thin silky yarn?

Thanks

Chuckg

Sometimes I will wrap the yarn around my finger twice to help with tension on really slick fibers. HTH!

I wrap the yarn around my baby finger and then my ring finger when I need more tension. I have to do this a lot because my hands get very cold very easily and very slippery when cold!
