My First piece of work
ok so this is the first swatch i knit after practicing the knit and purl stitches and binding off. let me know what u guys think and suggestions are certainly welcome.

sorry its a little grainy i took it with my cell in the bathroom cuz the lighting was good, or so i thought lol

i think you did a good job. you were able to create a good square. and your stitches look quite even.

thank you guys so much

i would like to start with a simple scarf and maybe add some fringe at the end.

i have bought a really cute yarn that is multi colored(purple, yellow, green, orange,and blue blend) so it will make the scarf multi colored without having the bind colors (since i'm a little intimidated by that technique)

i have a question about my swatch though. when i look at it(although you can't see it in the picture) both sides look like garter stitch...i was trying to make a stockinette stitch by alternating knit and purl rows. maybe i am purling incorrectly??

Greate start! Keep knitting.

If you knitted this in stockinette stitch it should be smooth on the other side.

Keep watching Amy's vidoes. There is one where she does a small swatch. Watch it to the end - it's very good.
