Iīm in!!!!

I would like to:

1. Knit more from my stash ( so I can replenish the box when I go visit my mom in the states... )

2. Finish a project BEFORE starting another. Or at least try to keep the WIPīs down to 2-3.

3. Try some socks and learn to do cables.

I think thatīs about it. IĻll try to keep it simple and do-able...

Good luck everone!!!!

Karen

I'm in, too! Since this is a resolution challenge I'm assuming it's ongoing all year even though we'll have others each month..right? Because I can't finish all my WIP in one month.

1. Finish WIPs by knitting at least some on them every week.
2. Make more socks including a pair for DH
3. Continue stashbusting as I have been for awhile.
4. Donate yarn I absolutely will not use instead of letting it sit there mocking me.
5. And the biggie... Make myself a sweater!!

Even though it is not on my list, one of my 'resolutions was to be a bit mroe brave and not to give up at the first hurdle when trying something new. well its not major but i just tried a new cast on method .... and liked it! yay

LOL I've been posting to the December thread ! Duh, its January now. HAHA.

I've got tennis socks on the needle.

Starting a pair of mittens for dd18 who spied my Red Heart Yarn order and likes the Banana Berry Color (blue, green, yellow).

I also have an order coming from Discount Yarn Sales . Com
for 3 skeins of another variegated color scheme.

I'm going to be making mittens for a couple of weeks. If I do a pair for dd18, I am sure dd21 will want a pair too.

my resolutions!

Let's start with listing our resolutions...

I wish all of you (and myself) very good luck, and hope you have a pleasant and successful 2008! I'd like to thank you all for putting up with some of my not-so-good challenges, and thanks for letting me do them in the first place.
Braden, thanks for giving us challenges! I think it's a great idea. Unfortunately for me, being challenged sometimes means i wimp out, and pretend i never signed up for the challenge

This i want to do this year and how i hope to get it done:

1. knit a lace shawl/stole. I have signed up for the Secret of the Stole II.

2.Learn to knit from a chart. I want to knit the quivit scarf in the IK holiday issue as practice for the stole.

3.Learn to knit color work with two hands. Currently i knit continental. I'd like to use this method to make my mom the Snowflake socks from IK.

4.I also want to finish more WIPs. I have about 8-10 OTN. I need to CO less

5.Finish my Drops jacket, since I'd like to wear it while it's still cold!

6.I'd also like to knit up enough socks to not need to BUY socks. This also means i'll have to buy more sock yarn! Guess i'll know what my reward yarns will be for stash busting

7. Dye more yarn (to sell... probably direct through my blog instead of etsy.

1) not knit more or buy more yarn than I can fit in my suitcase (yes, I mailed my yarn home last summer, and lucky balls of quivuik are tiny cause it came home in my camera bag.)
2) write a double-knitting techniques/pattern book
3) knit more socks and gloves, and less hats.
4) finish the projects I have planned at the moment before I add anymore.

My yarn came from knitting-whse.com and I have already started a pair of mittens. I'm increasing for the thumb right now. As soon as I have finished that area, I will scan it and post a picture.

Count me in!
1. Knit socks!
2. Knit the second FT clog! (Yes, I did one, but I haven't done the other!)
3. Finish my Lady Eleanor.
4. Knit something with the yarn received from my swap partner!

This, of course, is all after I have completed the scarf, hat, and mitten set my daughter is asking for RIGHT NOW! (Gotta finish my Lucy bag first!)
Braden: You've never knit a hat?! I'm shocked! You're a master knitter (IMHO) and you've never done a hat. Wow.

2. Continue with charity projects (baby blankets, oddball items, etc)
3. Finish my Combo Corsett-T (need to learn to crochet better)
4. Finish my Alene Camisole
5. Finish my Waves afghan from knitpicks.com
