Update on my update!!!

I DID try to knit in the round and it did not go well, so I gave up for the time being in order to finish the other things I had on my list. I intend to come back to that next week. That's my update!
Update on my update. I sat down tonight and with the help of Silver's tutorial and Shandeh's YouTube tutorial I figured out how to knit in the round and got started on a sock. I am so excited... The paperback book cover is finished. The scarf is finished. The shawl only has 20 rows left and then the I-cord bind off. I still have seven days left this month.

I'm so happy to see that I helped in one small way!

SMALL... woman this is HUGE to me! I have wanted to know how to knit in the round for years but could never figure it out. When I was sick I could not get out to take classes and after I lost my job because I was sick I could not afford the classes even if I had been able to get out. I am so grateful to you and Silver. Being able to knit in the round opens up so many knitting doors for me. I used to pick up a pattern and say "oh well, it's knit in the round so I can't do that" and put it back down again. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Thanks again Hon.

You're very welcome!

You've inspired me to work on learning to read charts. I say the same thing as you..."Oh...it's on a chart....I can't do that"

2. going to knit, block, sew seams and add buttons to my second sweater and have it done by Jan 31st.

3. Use up the yarn I got for christmas BEFORE I go buy more. you would be amazed at how far $100 goes expecially when stuff is on sale.

4. finish my entralac scarf and get it blocked to be worn before it get warm again.

I'm sure I can stick to this some what reasonable list of things. I've also got 2 crochet projects that need to get done before Feb.16th but I'm making good time on those.
Okay so I'm just about done with the socks. As for the sweater I ran into some sleeve troubles. As for using the yarn before I buy more who was I kidding. I'm a knitter that just isn't gunna happen. I keep finding projects I want to knit.

I'm in. Let's just wait and see if I actually follow through with this.

1) Knit my 1st sweater. (I know howbecause i read about how to do it, but haven't found the right needles. )

2) Knit more socks/slipper socks.

3) STASHBUST!!!!

4) Quit making garter stitch boring scarves.

5) Promise myself not to spend over $100 on yarn per 2 months. (Let's see how long I go with this one.... :rolfling: )

6) Knit up some hats/caps/junk to donate to the hospital/charity.

7) Think up some more resolutions. LOL

OK so, last day of the month. I knit the shawl, scarf and book cover and delivered them on Monday. I also *drum roll* knit three quarters of a sock from Silver's Sock Tutorial. So I actually accomplished my New Years Resolution of learning to knit in the round, and it's still only January! Next month I have to finish the scarf for my DD, one more scarf for my niece, one more for a family friend and work on my sister's bed jacket, once I finish my socks.
