Good job! It will be a great scarf if you keep on like that.

Great progress!
Wow...your stitching is coming along wonderfully. The very first square I made was actually a small basketweave to practice stitches and I showed it to a friend saying I planned to unravel it since she showed me LOTS of mistakes but she gave me great advice - until I am more confident in knowing what I am looking at stitch-wise, leave it alone so I have a visual reference of what each mistake is and how to fix it. It's worked well!

Congrats...can't wait to see your scarf!

Just one more row...

Ribbed scarf
Now that I have the basics down, I think it's time for me to work on an actual item! I'm thinking I'll just keep going with the K2P2 and make a scarf.[/quote]

I think that a ribbed scarf makes a very pretty but simple patterned scarf for a new knitter to do. No one will suspect you are even new to the game! LOL

Go for it!

Congrats!!! I wish I had found this site when I was struggling as a new knitter - it sure has made my knitting life much easier (and more pleasant) and much more fun! :D
