Newbie mistake? Peruvian instead of Merino
I just read the label of the skeins I bought - it says it's Peruvian. The pattern called for Merino. Have I made a mistake or will the Peruvian felt okay?

I don't think so. Merino is a breed of sheep. It's a softer fleece than other breeds. From what I've seen shopping online there are a lot of Merino sheep in Peru. I just bought Peruvian Merino sock yarn from Knitpicks, so I think what you have very well may be merino, just imported from Peru.
