I think gargoylelib will start it off in the beginning of feb with an easy beginner square. and if anybody wants to jump in and come up with an idea for march etc as the year goes by. Hopefully we will all be expert knitters by the end. i imagine that a new thread will have to be started when we start.
I've started up a stitch marker swap, registration ends the 31st, markers mailed by Valentines Day. So sign up now, get yourself some sweet hearts and get ready for a year of afghan squares!
I don't mean to derail this thread or whatnot, but for those of us planning to participate, this might give us something to do in the meantime to prepare, ya know? Have a beautiful set of 25 markers made by yourself and 4 other (random) KH members, right before starting an adventure to make yourself a KH-community-made afghan. =]
I would love love love to swap. I know this was posted a couple of weeks ago, but it would be great to swap something. How many people have said they'd like to do this? Is it Afghan worthy yet? :-) It's kind of hard to remember what I've logged on to read and what I haven't, so if you're comfortable e-mailing me, I check daily: keyla773@yahoo.com. My 9-yr-old daughter is catching the knitting bug now, so I'm sure she'd even like to take part. Let me know either way. It really sounds like fun.
