You are correct! Once again, I made a mistake.
The "Angel Wings" blanket is sitting in a pile of 10 things waiting to be mailed on the sofa.

My plan is to mail those packages today or tomorrow.

QUESTION:
As these blankets start coming in.. I have a question..

How many blankets do you want me to donate at one time? I want to do what the group wants. Right now there are 3 blankets, and I Know several are almost finished, and headed this way.

Let me know what everyone thinks, I want to do what would be a group decision.

Thanks,

Add this to your decision-making soup:

We have 15 more baby blankets, and 8 preemie blankets in the works, but it will be a while before they are ready.

My cys (closest yarn store, I don't have a local one) has all their Plymouth Speedway circular needles at 50% off. Let me know what sizes you still need, Shandeh and I'll see what she has got left.

size 6 16 inch for premie blanket
I found one size 6 yesterday at AC Moore... It seems long anough for the premie blankets we are doing... FYI for anyone buying needles for the project.

Thanks cdjack and doodknitwit.

We need size 5, 6, and 7 circulars - preferably at least 21 inches long.

I went to my local Hobby Lobby today and inquired about a donation. The manager told me that these requests have to go through their corporate office, and he gave me their telephone number. I'll try to call them on Monday and see what they will do. This is not something I mind doing since I've been doing it for soccer for quite a number of years. If they don't want to or can't, they'll tell me. But it certainly is a worthy cause, thus worth the effort.

I'm also going to call KnitPicks on Monday.

Oh, and I think that this is something that a small (meaning not franchise) LYS might be willing to donate for, if we gave them the website of the Oddball blankets. If I had one close to me, I'd inquire, but all we have are chain stores.

Good luck Nathalie! Don't forget that Monday is a holiday and they might not be open. I'm really not sure how to go about asking for donations but if you are successful I might work up the courage to try.
