how to "block" cotton sweater

I just finished making a cropped sweater out of Blue Sky Alpaca cotton. I know you don't block cotton, but is there something that I can do to smooth it out a bit? Maybe use a spray bottle and a warm iron?

I just made my grand daughter a sweater out of CottonTots, and the answer for me was no, you can't. The stitches look quite uneven, so I'm switching back to merino wool for her. Told her mom that I'd wash the sweaters if needed.
