The yarn was Sirdar Kool Kids chunky. I think it was discontinued some time ago.

Nice work! I just posted in the How To Forum, so I have to ask if you did the kitchener stitch on the mittens? My socks and mittens end up with square corners ('ears') when I do the kitchener stitch, and your mittens look nice and round.

McKnitty, the pattern was different to any others I have made. They were knitted flat and after top shaping (14 sts left), the stitches were divided onto 2 needles and then finished with 3 needle bind off.

oh those are cute! I never thought to do black yarn with other colors for my kiddo, that seems to get that brown yucky snow on her mitties all the time...(not the yellow snow, the kind that's been walked on a lot...slushy stuff!)
