I can`t remember who it was that posted it, but I have to tell you all...

The tip about SSK really works well! You do your SSK as they say to do it, but on the next round, the stitch that was your SSK you knit tbl. My decreases are as neat as a pin. I am so pleased. The only problem is that now number one sock has messy decreases and number two sock is much nicer. No one else will know but me and they are only house socks, so I don`t care. I wanted to try the method to see if it worked and IT DOES!!!

I looked at the calendar this morning and just realized I've got 29 days to go. Less than one month! Is it okay to panic now?

I've got a lovely ball of self striping sock yarn in blues that I want to make something for my mom in. Can someone recommend a pretty pattern for me?

I wouldn't panic yet-then again the longest I was pregnant was 37 weeks and 3 days. I'd be anxious, but not nervous or panicking. You'll be fine

As far as a pattern...hummm
Tropicana socks I think these would be pretty.
Petticoat socks?

well we didn't go to thezoo today...but we brought home a dog after we dropped an old tv off to be recycled, I'll post a pic later.

I haven't tried either one of the patterns that Julie shared, but I totally agree with her.........the first thing I always think of for stripes is either a chevron pattern, like Jaywalkers, or a feather and fan type, like she linked to. I didn't stop to read those two, but another one like that that is done toe, up, is Marigolds, the pattern link being on this page...

I tried that method on my ssk's on the 'scoots' that I just knitted, but the yarn is so dark that I can't tell how they look ! They did seem to have more of a ridge to that side than to the k2tog side. I had trouble remembering to knit through the back loop, and had to tink back several times when I would remember. I'll try it again on the next project where I need it.

Hi
Jodi - Lovely colours, especially like the Monkey.

Julie - No mai tai for Jayne. We either carry her or put her in the pram/stroller.
