Yes Lisa, it`s acrylic. I don`t have much choice in that matter. Your opinion WAS helpful to me, thank you. Of course you were of help to me!

Mmmmmmm those are pretty Dustinac. I love that colour. You have the advantage of working on circs so you are able to try on your socks. I am working on dpn`s so I just wait to see if they fit once I graft the toe. I`ve been lucky so far!

I went down two sizes with the needles and started a 1x1 rib. It seems to be working out nicely. I hope this time his socks will stay where he puts them, LOL.

Thanks everyone for the help!

Happy

Oh, those are both beauties, Tami and Dustina ! You guys are fast, to me !

I did 2 x 2 ribbing on those scoots and they're 80% acrylic.......it's gonna be hilarious when they stretch out and scoot right off of his feet !

Dotty: If you put them in the washer and then on the hottest setting in the dryer they will go back into shape. The first pair I made for DH, I lovingly handwashed and laid flat to dry. While they were drying, I kept going and `smoothing them down` so that no wrinkles would be in them the next time he wore them. Well, it turns out that I stretched them all to hell and breakfast. The next time he went to wear them they were ... well let`s just say they were a lot longer than when they started out. I washed them in hot water, put them in the dryer on the hottest setting and they are back to normal now. Good luck with your Scoots.

Pretty socks girls!

C'mon Monday/Tuesday...

The.Knitter; the only acrylic socks I've made were 2 pairs of baby socks & then 2 pairs of the tropical punch slipper socks and they were all gifted away so I have no idea how they worked but I do know that I only did 1x1 ribbing on them.

hi ya
good morning, a cold morning now,

As for the Sockamania posting, i cant get it done.
When i go to sockamania directly, i hit the Dashboard, it brings me to my own blog - Dashboard , Manage Your Blogs page. No Sockamania in the list of blogs that i manage(e.g Peekaboo mitten KAL and the Jaywalker KAL)

Did i miss out something or i m not in the list to post yet ? I know if i m accepted (like Peekaboo Mitten Knit Along or the Jaywalker Knit Along. Once i hit the New Post in the Manger your blog page, it brings me there)

Dustina - i know the feeling of seeing new sock yarns.

The Knitter - woww....nice pair of red sox.

Gina - What a beautiful name - Sugar Land

Julie - How old is Snickers ?

Jackie, I suspect you're right........you're just not 'in' yet !

Thanks, The.Knitter........I sent the scoots yesterday, so I'll pass that tip along when they get them. If I know my daughter, she won't even think twice about how to launder them. That's why I don't use shrinkable wool for their socks.
