Me, either, but I'm trying to do squares & rectabgles for charity blocks and having to check it because the size has to be exact! It's a pain in the *&*$%+! I also just realized that I bought chunky yarn and they both ask for worsted. Darn it.

Grrrrr. I hate it when my post doesn't post.

Anyway. I've been off doing all kinds of stuff today, but no knitting.

Leike and Dustina, thanks for the info on picking up the YO. I'll try it tomorrow. My first student is one who I can knit with, so I'll try it then.

Steve, I like your yarn. The first sock I made was with your second one--the blue ONline yarn. Nice stuff and knits up fairly quickly, for socks.

Carey, your spa day sounds fun!

Julie, how was the aquarium? I haven't been to one in a long time. Souns fun!

Jenny, cute pic! and I recommend a heavier weight than sock weight for first socks. Sounds like you've already made a good choice.

Sile, I feel for ya, hun! DS was bullied as a 2nd grader. The teacher was oblivious. We moved him to a Christian school the next year and have been glad ever since. He graduates in May. I work for the public school, so it's not like I'm against that system. It just didn't fit for our kids and our Christian values. Dustina is right. Each of us has different schools/systems/kids and we need to do what is best in our own situations.

I like your sock, Dustina!

Cyndi, your DD's incident sounds scary. Sounds like it was handled well. Being a school cop is not an easy job!

Allison, I also agree with your comments. It really DOES take cooperation, patience and understanding. And your socks look so cool! Love the toe!

Dotty, your speed amazes me! Your stole/wrap is LOVELY!

Okay. It's 11:04. Time for bed. 'Night North Americans!
Good Morning, Jackie!

Well, I didn't really worked it out, I just left the mistakes as they were and proceeded with the pattern as supposed. Well, you can see one of the mistakes really well, but I don't care. I'll love the socks anyway.

ahkatelier, your socks look great!

Dotty, love your wrap

Dustina, that's a really pretty sock.

Good Morning Socksters!!

Jenny~I'm bad about that too...but taking the gauge can sometimes save you time (frog time). You might want to see what you are getting with your tofutsies on the sock...

Lieke~I bet most won't notice the mistake...you will 'cause you know it's there

The sock I did was Cookie A's Twinkle toes in a worsted weight...on size 4 needles...I might be cheating a bit this month ...gotta cast on the 2nd one today...

**How many Socksters are on Ravelry? If your not on Ravelry are you waiting to get in? Are any of you custom to Yahoo groups? I'm doing some thinking on Any Socks...Since it has become more like a group discussing socks now and then but mostly about every day things...I'm wondering if I should leave it on KH or make it a group...I really think one of the two will happen...just gotta decide which way to take it...so lmk **

Hi Everyone,
Well, sheesh, sniff, no one missed me! I've been checking in, but pretty busy with little PeaWee, who gave me a huge scare at the vet's when I took her in for her first "routine" visit. She had trouble breathing, and now I have to take her in for an echocardiogram (an ultrasound for the heart, I think) on Monday so we can see if her heart if okay. We've grown quite attached to the little girl, so have been keeping a very close eye on her. I finished my striped socks, finally! I made so many mistakes on them that it's funny, but I was sick of frogging, and every time I was knitting and worrying about PeaWee, I'd make a blooper and not even notice always until quite a ways beyond. I frogged several times, then said the heck with it, no one is going to come up and inspect them that closely!
I am casting on some socks that I found from cruising around in the Knitter's Review Forums called Mitered Squares. Our grass is finally greening up, so I'm feeling all Spring-y and using a very Spring-y yarn. I'm trying to use 5 dpn again, and it's been awhile, so I don't have anything yet on those worth showing you.
Since the last page I posted on was #276 or so, I would take way too much space to acknowledge everyone's wonderful creations, but man o man, you guys are rocking!
It is so inspiring to see what comes off your needles, sewing machines and crochet hooks - keeps me going on my stuff, thanks!
Jenny, Emily is a dear baby - the wrap carrier I wish was more available when I had my daughter. It would have been fun to carry her around like that, and I believe it is so good for them, too.
So sorry to read about school troubles, too. Life sure has gotten complicated , hasn't it?
Also have been thinking of everyone that has physical challenges going on right now, like Gina, Lieke, Dotty, her Mike, and I know I'm forgetting some of you, sorry...
Great shots of yummy yarn, Chris, you are a hoot!, and oh yes, Julie, (sorry your space is continually being invaded-make 'em help around the house!), is the sock swap not going anywhere? I see only two of us had answered...
Jackie, we had blueberry pancakes last night, with VT maple syrup, of course, yum!
And Dustina, how's your new canine family member?
Back off to my corner of the world to knit a bit, then today at 2pm, there's a rummage sale in South Hero I don't want to miss, as you never know what treasures you might find...
Have a good day knitting, everyone!

Dustina, Allison and Tami, I love the socks! (Did I miss a name? I love all the socks posted!) Dustina I love that Twinkle Toes pattern, it's lovely.

Dotty, the wrap came out beautiful! I'll have to go read about the fringe, but I think it looks great!

Today is my baby's 4th birthday! I made banana muffins for her school party, and I'll make cupcakes for her party tomorrow at the park. She got to pick a restaurant for dinner tonight, so we're going to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant.

Gina, I'm going to pm you about the stole- it's looking great!

I also have some yarn porn to post, but I don't have time to upload it just now, I'll try to get to it in a little bit.

Have a great day, everyone!

All the socks look wonderful! Dotty, your quilt is beautiful!

Nice socks Devon. I am sure your baby will be ok. I will send positive thoughts her way! It`s harder when they can`t tell you what is wrong. Of course we missed you. You are part of our KAL family!

Dustina, I am on Ravelry but have never looked up any sock patterns there. I did post about our Canadian Oddball Blankets but I don`t use the Ravelry that much. I should use it more. I`ll try harder in the future.

Lieke as long as you like your socks that is all that matters. You are probably the only one that will notice errors.

I claimed bragging rights yesterday and took Boots to visit my sister who lives about two hours away. She is now in love! Boots was so well behaved and I was very proud of him. I got no knitting done. I have to get on that knitting if I am going to have my DGD`s birthday presents finished in time for her to get them for her birthday. Perhaps I`ll get some knitting done today. Only time will tell. Boots is going to the vet for his vaccination and then I will see what the rest of the day brings.

Happy Knitting everyone.

DEVON, how embarrassing, I got your name wrong! Anyway, I do love the socks!

OK, here's the promised yarn porn. Yummy merino sock yarn from Julia's Yarns on etsy.
