Maybe you could have add some black to it which would make it a little darker.. just my thought.

jberry... what is the sherman heel?

The.Knitter, I'm on.......I'M ON ! Check my blog........I fell for the allure and siren call of the Jaywalker again (mostly thanks to you, jodstr2 !)

but today I took a day off (so far) from knitting AND quilting, and made myself an apron. I've wanted to make a new one for so very long, and I started to use some spare fabric that I didn't really like, just to use it up. Then I thought........"how long have you wanted this and how often will you have to look at it ! ? ! So, I pulled out the pretties and spent the day in sew-heaven !
I'm fixing to post pictures of it on my blog right now !
Craft on, sisters and brothers !

Hi Socksters,

Well, The bad news is that the CHT said I need to go see a rheumatologist. My top joint on my left index finger is swollen and painful. He made me a splint, but it hits the swollen part, so it doesn't really help.

The good news is I got my LOVELY silver ring splints for my thumbs! I've been wearing these very ugly, bulky, but functional plastic splints and now look at this: (Sorry for the blurry pic.) Purty, huh?

Dotty: Oh yummy, I love that colour combination. Lumberjack! Sounds awful but it looks so nice knit up. Is it wool? If not, could you direct me to where you found it? I would just love to knit a pair of socks in that yarn.

How do you knit garter stitch in the round?

Anyways, I am glad YOU ARE ON!!! LOL. Would not want those hands to be idle. That apron sounds nice! You are a woman of many many talents from the sounds of it. Keep up the good work!

Oh, The.Knitter, I'm afraid it IS wool...........superwash wool. It's called MagicStripes, by LionBrandYarns. The name is awful, and I'm not sure if I made it up or it is the ACTUAL name of the colorway........ I tried to make the hubby some socks from it once, with red toes and heels and my red was too thick, so I frogged. But I'm liking these !
I might just have to scramble to buy another skein from someone on Ravelry or this forum, if I get close to the end and find I'm running short. But for now, I'm not going to worry about it...........that's days away, right?

Thanks for the compliment...........I DO love to sew !

Happy saturday everyone.. I was out doing some more yarn shopping. I will be starting a new project tomorrow I think. The pattern is windowpane out of the Nashua the north american deisgner collection. However, on our way to the LYS that is ohhh about 45 min. from the house.. I was able to finish the littlemans other sock. I think they turned out pretty good for my first time winging it..

Those look great ! silegose............I'm sorry that I misspelled your name one time before. I thought that you were having fun with spelling 'silly goose' !

Leave it to Gina to find the beauty in new splints ! You are 'stylin', girl !
