JD is a good man.
DSWMBO and I had been married for about 20 years and we moved back to the Maryland area. Our parents were in the area and she has Aunts and Uncles near by. So we started the rounds of family visits at one of her Aunts we had to have lunch. In this area of Pennsylvanian lunch is normally the big meal (farm country). Fro desert the Aunt had Cherry Pie. When asked about desert I politely declined saying I was full. But what do I see but the Aunt putting a piece of pie on my plate say DSWMBO said I liked Cherry pie. Rather than be rude I ate the piece of Cherry pie. When finished again being polite I said that it was very good. The the Aunt starts to put a second piece of pie on my plate, I say I am full no thank you. The pie teleports from the pie pan to my plate. Being polite I eat a second piece of Cherry Pie.
When DSWMBO and I left and got into the car the first think out of my mouth was I HATE CHERRY PIE, I HATE CHERRIES. DSWMBO said I didn't know you should have said something. The fact that I had said at least five time that I didn't want any pie seem to have never registered with her and I know her Aunt never listens.
I have been told that they are going to have "I HATE CHERRY PIE" carved on my tombstone.
Please make sure your significant other knows that you will not be offended if they say they do not like the taste of something that you have cooked. Everyone like different things.

Gina- I don't have the yarn for it yet. I'm waiting until I get paid from the daycare. I did decide on lion brand wool-ease for it, though. They've got all the colors I want for it, and won't put me out $90+.

Lion brand wool ease I think is just a buck or 2 cheaper than the Casscade 220 I'm using for my CPH, but it's 100% wool, will have to be handwashed. (crazy I know w/kids and all, but o well)
BTW my CPH has the arms sewn into the sweater!!! I'm fixin to seam up the sides, but I now hear Katie, so guess that will have to wait.
I don't know why guys like long hair, it's such a pain.

Dustina, here's the e-mail from Becka...
Wow, that's odd! I would suggest that she go to their website, www.soysilk.com and go to the contact us page and email Jonelle, the president or Kat, operations manager, both are very nice. Haver her send along the photo, I'm sure that they will take care of it right away!
Happy Knitting and God Bless
Becka

Hi Socksters,
Not always time to post and respond to everyone but just wanted you all to know that I enjoy reading everyone's post.
It amazes me how much some of you get finished.
I have been working on dishcloths and Baby Surprise Jackets. I need to finish up the Campfire Socks.
Why am I craving Pecan Pie?
Sock on,
Carla

I am all emotional today. The members that worked on a blanket called Life's a Beach agreed that I could donate that blanket to a baby boy who is 18 weeks old. He was born very prematurely and weighed 2 lbs. 6 oz. at birth. He lives down the street from me. He came home from The Hospital for Sick Children today. He is now just over 6 lbs. I delivered his blanket about two hours ago now. It was very emotional. Mom cried, and when I saw the little man, I cried too! His head is shaved in spots where they put the IV and his little arms are bruised from them taking blood samples from him. He has jaundice and his wee eyes are greenish yellow where they should be white.
The Mom allowed me to take a picture of the baby wrapped in his new blanket and one of me holding him and giving him his bottle, also wrapped in his new blanket. I have permission to share those pictures with the Canadian Oddball Baby Blanket KAL, but unfortunately I do not have permission to post the pictures on the internet.
All in all, it was an emotion filled visit, but I am glad to have had the chance to deliver the blanket personally and to give the members of our group a picture of a real baby using one of our blankets. It may be the only picture like that we get as the hospital won't allow us near real babies when we deliver the blankets to them.
Now I am going to make a cup of tea!
