Julie - I am sure going back to school is a big shock to your system. when you have been a couple of times I am sure it will get easier and more enjoyable. Enjoy the BBQ.

Lynn - great socks. Well done for jumping in at the deep end. Have you been bitten by the bug. What is your next pair going to be.

Chris loved your photos. somebody definitely owes you pie.

Gina - as far as I know we do not have shortening here in the UK. can you use butter or margarine in the cookies.

Yes, Chris, I like my friends in the kitchen!

Jackie, whatcha been knitting?

Julie, I can't imagine going back to take chemistry! You CAN do it, though! You're one smart cookie! Maybe review the math online? Caitlin sounds adorable! Try putting Vicks Vaporub on her feet. It is amazing how it helps a cough.

Jess, what's RHSS? I'm not a drinker, so I can't help you on the wine. My dad used to make it, though!

Ann, have fun at the shower!

Lynn, your socks are AWESOME!! WTG!!! I used the same instructions for my first socks!

We had a bbq at church today. Yum. Now to knit for a while!

I'm home...and I've cheated on catching up, I read really fast and looked mostly for pictures...sooo if I miss anything let me know!

Christine~That dress is just too cute

Carla~Love the jacket that is just too cute!!

Chris~ I love your photos!!!

Lady Violet~what pretty goodies!! You are doing great on the spinning

Lynn~Love the socks

We got back around 2 so I haven't even unpacked but wanted to stop in here first. We had a good time going home like always, mom got me started on a ripple afghan...I've had to frog that thing so many times I hope I can keep it going straight...and she got me started on some spinning

The kids had a blast and everyone is getting over the cold...JD had fun rafting too (that is why we went down)...I was afraid it would make his cold worse but it didn't. We left Roo's costume with mom she is going to take it up some so I won't worry about Roo falling...

Chris here is a photo of me knitting in WV at the Gauley Falls

Hi all,

Life is just crazy around here. Had my birthday last friday and the house is still quite a mess. (had 2 birthays, yesterday and today). I hardly had time to knit. Positive thing, last thursday, I finished the introduction of my masterpaper. I've handed it in and now I'm waiting to find out if it's good enough.

I didn't get any knittingrelated gifts, but I did get 2 gerbils from steven. They are totally cute and it's the best present I could ever get.

Did try to catch up with the KAL, but don't have time enough to read everything. Saw some great FO's. Now I have to go, my dryer just beeped (which means it's ready and wants attention)

Hope to be around soon!

Happy belated Birthday Lieke. I hope you are really enjoying your gerbels. Can you trim them and spin the hair to make knitting yarn? Just kidding, have a great weekend!

What is with the "non-knitting" gifts though? You need knitting stuff. Oh well, there is always Christmas!!!
I love to give homemade gifts... which one of my kids do you want?

Thanks! To be honest, they were fun!

So, I'm hitting the library tomorrow to see if they have any 'sock' books on the shelves!

Hi everyone

Gina: That is my kind of pie crust too.

Julie: Hope the class gets easier for you. I admire what you are doing.

Lynn: Your socks look great.

Dustina: Good to see you back. I like the KIP photo.

Karina: Do you have Crisco? That is shortening made with vegetable oil.

Knitgal: Hope the shower went well.

Lieke: Happy belated bithday.

I stayed home all day today, the weather was miserable. I made another little baby hat and then started one for my dgd but after knitting a couple of inches decided it was too loose, so I frogged it and will try again with smaller needles. I am using this yarn in
Pink o Rama. It is very soft but rather stretchy
