Hooded shrug patterns
I've searched the Internet looking for a hooded shrug pattern but haven't had much luck. Anybody know of one (or more)? TIA.h

I just saw a pattern for a hooded mobius... I think it was in the latest Interweave Knits.

Got a link? I don't have this month's issue (I just signed up a couple of days ago). BTW, what's a mobius?

Its in the spring 2008 issue that just came out. I don't have it with me. I'll have it tomorrow. A mobius is like a wrap that is twisted in the center. You start knitting in the center and work your way out.
It's done on a long circular needle (maybe a 36''). I'm sure if you put it into google you could find a photo.

I know a lot of knitters around here have made one.

There's one that was posted in a crafster forum last year (or 2 years ago). I'll see if I can track it down. It was a made up by the knitter pattern, and she posted the pattern I think...

eta: Oh yay, I found it on the first post - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=109542.0 The pictures have been removed, and there's no blog link, but there's some pics or links to them toward the end of the thread. This post - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index...479#msg1258479 was for a larger size than the original.

Oh, you're right... it was an ad. I was flipping through it quickly when I picture caught my eye, not realizing it was an ad. Sorry...

There is a thread on Crafster for a hoodie shrug. It's pretty old so some of the photos are missing but the pattern is still there.

I just checked this book out of my library - 100 Knitting Projects by Jean Leinhauser & Rita Weiss.

Page 62 has a Hooded Capelet. It is basically a wide tube. It's made with Patons Cha Cha, sort of an eyelash yarn. Pretty much cast on xx stitches and knit each round for 19-20". The end size is 27" around. If I told you how many to cast on I'd be in copywrite violation - the pattern is that simple. No reason you'd have to use an eyelash yarn.
