Not a "wing it" sweater...a sweater from a specific pattern. Maybe a free "Knitty" or "Knitting Pattern Central" pattern....so that we could both view the details and directions.

As your personal mentor, I'd want some input on the pattern choice.

Okay, the sweater from Knitty (not really a sweater, but an awesome top) called Tubey (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTtubey.html) looks pretty cool. I've been thinking about knitting up that one next. See what you think, and PM me if your interested.

I pick who gets what. The only argument I anticipated was over the little girls' Booga Bags. One was pinks/purples...the other was blues/purples/teals. They both have pink as a favorite color! (I found out after buying the yarn.) So, I added beads to the blue bag. When my daughter came over with the youngest girl, I let her take her pick first. She chose the bag I thought she would...the bag with the beads! Fiona was sooooo happy that Laila chose the bag with the beads.

I still got my groove goin' on!

KG, how many sweaters have you completed in your knitting career? I need to know...because this pattern is not easy. It has a lot of techniques that are tricky for novice knitters.

See the "flavor" of this pattern? It's called "Tangy"...which means a pattern that is more challenging.

Look for a pattern that says "Mellow" for our knitalong. Then you can advance to "Tangy" level of difficulty later.
************************************************** ****
I did a copy/paste below:

The Knitty Level of Difficulty Index
[Kind of like a menu. But not really.]

Suitable for beginners.
Relaxing, not mentally taxing.
Knitting as therapy.

Tired of rectangles? Ready for something more challenging? Try these.
Fun things with zing. A twist, even.

A little something for the seasoned knitter.
Daring but not exhausting.

Suitable for those with a lot of experience. Or patience. Or both.
These babies have teeth.
Hoo boy.

************************************************** ****

If you can't find a MELLOW that you like, I found a TANGY pattern (TEMPTING II, link is below) that is easier for you than TUBEY. I don't want to mess around with TUBEY for our knitalong.

TEMPTING II

Besides, spring/summer is almost here!! Tempting II will be good for the sunny days just around the corner! I will knit one, too! I really like Tempting II. I made Tempting I for my daughter last summer. But I like Tempting II much better!

Let me know what you decide: either let's do Tempting II, or find a MELLOW category pattern that you do like.

They are beautiful! I especially love the "heart" one. I'm going to have to scroll through here and see if you have given the pattern information! Should have done that before I posted, LOL!
Do you know where I can go to learn how to post a picture of the sweater I just finished? I managed to get it to my desktop, but don't know how to do it from there!
Thanks,
Jen
