Everyone is moving right along. I have to admit I am still at the 5 inch mark for the neckline. I was panicing thinking about what I was going to do at the neckline point for the band, and I put the whole thing down.
So, now I guess I should just worry about knitting the 5 inches and then look at where to go from there. Not worry so much about what comes next until I get to that point. (where have I heard that before, don't look ahead!)
That's what I did. I just moved along. When I got stuck I called on Artlady . I guess she is busy today. I need to go back through the post to see if I'm knitting the band in the right direction.

Not happy with this neckline. I thought the band would pull it in more. It look's like it is going to fall right off my DD's shoulder's. I did the K2 together all the way around the yoke too. WHAT TO DO?

Is there some way to make ""puckers" around the neck so that the band is tighter? Maybe gathers is a better word, huh?

I don't know for sure what to do. Thanks for the idea's. I will frog the band and do whatever. I just need to know WHAT! I was looking at other's pic's. The one's I looked at did draw in some. I just don't know what I did wrong. Don't ya just hate it when something like this happen's? Maybe Artlady will be able to see what I've done wrong. I know I could gather it up some but, I still want to know what I did to make it look like this. I was going to make another one. If I can't get this one right, I'll not try this pattern again. I'm the kind of person that keeps at it until I get it right. It might take me forever but that's just the way I am
Thanks again knit2btied
Maybe a second round of k2tog all around would do it. I'm just guessing though. Hopefully Artlady can give some better advice.

I'm wondering about taking the band off. Re-doing the decrese row. I thought about decresing 3 st's at a time all the way around. I think if I try to do two decrese rows it will not look as neat. I guess Artlady is gone for the weekend. Golly I miss her
To let you in on a little secret It won't be the first time I have had to knit something over & over & over
