I'm still looking and having trouble. My DD doesn't like the Sour or Tangerine so that is out. I'm thinking I'd really like to use the Calmer, and still searching for a cheaper source of a color she likes. I looked at Main Street Yarns in Geogia somewhere. They had it on sale for $9.00 per skein. (I'm one of the lucky ones. My DD's bust is only 34 so I am looking at the size 32 to make, four skeins. :-)) They don't have anything but 6 balls of pink. No pink for my DD either. The lady said they had been discussing buying some more of it and would let me know what they decided to do. She said they had sold out what they had with it on sale, and obviously people were looking for it. (They don't know about our KAL. )

I was going to order the Katia Jet, but I don't know if they really have the number and color I need, but the more I looked at that the more I wanted the Calmer. The sweater is designed with Calmer and the Katia Jet has only 90 some yards in a 50 gram ball as opposed to 177 on Calmer. So size seems pretty different there somehow (I'm talking about thickness of the yarn). I'm afraid it would not be as nice. If I don't find some yarn I really feel good about I guess I'll sit this one out.

The three colors of Katia Jet that my DD approved were the periwinkle, aqua and turquoise. When I asked her which? She said I could eliminate the turquoise and choose from there. I was looking at a Calmer color called Tinkerbell. It is a periwinkle I think. You know how the colors go over the computer, different in every picture. They also have a lovely turquoise called Refresh that I think she'd like.

I know I said I was too cheap to get the Calmer. Tight, very tight is always my first reaction to everything. But sometimes I change my mind.

My calmer arrived today! I'll not be casting on just yet, though. I need to see how the size of tempting fits DD before I know which size tempting II to make.

Now off to figure out how to vote for the ebay lady who sold it to me!

This Ebay shop has an auction going for a pack of 10 Calmer in Tangerine, and the current bid is just $40.99. This auction ends in 6 hours. It is 12:56pm here in Washington State...Pacific Time...so the auction ends at about 7 pm Pacific Time. You can figure what time that is in your time zone.

HERE IS THE LINK to her auction. She has 100% customer approval rating, too. She lives in Virginia, USA.

You won't need 10 skeins for our Tempting II...but for $4 per skein, you have plenty of yarn to make something else as well!

Full price for Calmer is about $12 per skein.

I have color 484 here on my desk, and it is lavender...and
color 464, and it's pea soup green.

Hi knit! Be sure to knit your swatch! You probably don't need this reminder!

TO ALL OF OUR KNITTERS using Calmer:

Cast on 22 stitches w/ US8 needle..."knit" the end stitches on the RS & WS...and knit st st for the middle 20 st.
When your swatch is 4"...measure the width of the middle 20 st.
They should be 4" wide. If they are wider, you need to try a US7.
If they are narrower, try a US6.

Gauge is very important to 'get right'... for knitting garments especially!
