Sox in fingering weight yarn...

I have been asked to make a pair of socks for an adult woman with sensitive feet. She has supplied me with fingering weight baby yarn. Someone told me to CO 60 stitches and they told me what size to use but I will be darned if I can remember. It was either a 0 or a 1. I can't check my messages because I was a smarty pants and cleaned them all up today and I guess I deleted that one too. Which would you recommend? I want to CO for these socks tonight!

It depends on how skinny her feet are and how loosely you knit. I have wide feet and use a 2 for mine.

You could check out cometosilver.com and look under classes for her sock "recipe." She starts with 64 for fingering weight.

Thanks very much! Sock recipe? This is not a skinny skinny person, nor is she heavy. She is just medium IMHO. She wears a size 7 shoe now.

You could probably try either size depending on how tight you knit.
