This is Punkin! She's actually our "grandcat", belongs to our DGD and is the littlest of five! We use an under the bed storage box as a litter box, changed twice daily! DO DO DOOTIE~gotta love it!. Punkin's favorite game is playing do do ball. PHEW...
And then there's Minkie! She's normal...yeah, right! Will at least sit on your lap...very sociable:
Patches! Quick!!! before she runs and hides...scared to death of anyone but family members.
This is Tidbit, the three-legged wonder...we found her as a kitten, her missing leg was just dangling. The vet told us it had nerve damage so best to remove it and prevent infections. This one runs faster than any four-legged cat alive...zipppppppppppp! Try catching her when you want her to come in.
And this one's my big old bath and garden buddy, Bubbies! Sleeps with me everynight. Deaf since birth, he's pink where he's not white and white where he's not pink! Beautiful Blue eyes!

Jan! I have seen you around as a Mod, but never so active in a post!
So for my kitties:
the ever popular Mulder drowning his mousey

One of the kitties I rescued from under my back porch (I so wanted to keep this one!)

Itchy the day we found him in our backyard and adopted him

Itchy as a kitten napping on my mousepad (yes, I was using the computer!)

And Itchy in a box, looooook clooose his eye is in the hole!

Thanks! He and Minkie are siblings. We found 4 kittens. Their mother had been run over. These are the only two that lived. One was dead when we found them and another died a few days later. Come to find out, their mothers lick their tummies to stimulate their urination, etc... the vet taught us to use a warm, damp rag, rub them near the genitals and not doing this is why the second one died. So, we became Cat parents. Bottle fed them as needed, gave them full water baths (putting them in socks to stay dry and warm), stimulated them. Minkie probably weighs around 17 lbs and Bubbies is around 19 lbs. Their bones are much larger than any of the other cats...guess that high protein kitten milk powder did the trick!

I sure am sorry you lost the other 2, but it must have been very rewarding to save the 2 you have! Itchy was found by us at about 3 weeks old and the vet told us about the genital stimulation for urination, but he was already gung-ho on the litter box. All we had to do was wet his food so he could chew for a few weeks, and he was fine. I had the bottle milk all ready but he didn't want anything to do with it. I think his Momma had already left him for a bit when we found him, so he was doing his best to feed himself and was ok with solid-ish food.
I am glad your 2 turned out so healthy and pretty!

These were only a couple of days old and eyes were not open yet.
Bubbies does sign language to communicate...he wipes things off whatever surface he's on to get our attention! Aggrevating but affective!

Itchy does that and he's not deaf! Anything, I swear ANYTHING on a table he will knock it off. Just so that it is on the floor. Aggravating as all heck! He doesn't do sign language but he does STARE when he needs food or water. I am sure your deaf kitty has mastered the art of sign "eye" language. Staring sure does a lot of good for kitties getting their points across!
