superb! Great job to all of those who contributed to this lovely project. Sure makes me warm and fuzzy all over.

The.Knitter & Crycket: Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to go and do this for us.

That is wonderful Christine. I am so glad the day went well and that the blankets were appreciated. Thanks to you and Crycket for taking the time out to deliver them. Great work ladies. The pictures are so nice to see.

Two more pictures I thought you'd like to see.

The one is a picture of Karen after we had packed the blankets back up into a bag accepting the donation, the second is just before we left the hospital, we found a huge sign outside, the sign said Emergency, and I was holding a coffee in my hand. We thought it was funny to stand me beside the Emergency sign and hold up my coffee, because we had hunted around the hospital to find a Tim Horton's; I really needed a coffee!!! OK, so perhaps you had to be there for it to be funny, but WE thought it was.

Our member, CMRab (Cheryl), contacted me last week and asked for my address. In the mail yesterday I received a parcel with many pairs of circular needles and a lovely note. The note reads:

"I recently met a wonderful woman who was destashing her knitting supplies. So I was able to add these to our cause. I have kept a couple to start new blankets in the New Year."

Thank you so very much Cheryl, for keeping our group in your thoughts and for donating these needles to The Canadian Oddball Baby Blanket KAL!

I think she thought I was a little strange when I told her I would take all of her 6 mm circulars until I explained what they were for. She has been designing and knitting/crocheting in miniature so she had decided that her larger supplies should be passed on to other knitters. She does absolutely beautiful work imagine a fan and feather patterned blanket (3in x 5in) done with thread.

I'm in, send me a message to let me know how to get setup...ie. get the blanket sent here. I have a pile of baby yarn and I know some of will fit the requirements of the Toronto Sick Kids hospital.

On a separate note, I should see if the local children's hospital also accepts knitted items stuff too (CHEO - Ottawa/Gatineau area).
