Happy New Year to all the charity knitters.

I have just finished up the Super Heroes blanket which was started sometime last year. Now that the Christmas rush is over, it is time to start on some charity knitting again. Christine and I decided that this blanket really needed some yellow, so I gave it a try. I hope you approve.

Is there any chance that I could just knit a blanket for the hospital by myself? I am not a seasoned knitter and pretty slow for an old chick, but would like to help out fellow Canadians.

Missibob, you certainly can work on a blanket yourself. I actually have one that I work on occasionally. If you want it to go to Sick Kids in Toronto, there are a few guidelines to follow. You can see them here. http://canadianoddballknitters.blogs...anket-kal.html

If you want any other info or would like to be part of the group knitting, just sent a pm to The.Knitter.

I would love to participate!
Howdy,

I'm Christina and live in Canada and am a pretty good knitter, crocheter too. I would LOVE to participate in this oddball knitters group and knit a few blankets for charity.

Please advise.

Thanks ... Christina

Hi Christina: We'd love to have you join us. It's great to see someone that crochets as well. I had to learn to crochet to put the borders on these blankets. Please PM me your e-mail address and I'd be pleased to send you an invitation to join our group.

Hear ye, hear ye, oh kind, generous and loving members of the Canadian Oddball Baby Blanket KAL, it is with the greatest of pleasure that I present to you all another finished Oddball Baby Blanket. This is Super Heroes! I hope you are all pleased with the way it looks and how it turned out. This blanket is going to the son of a friend of one of our members. Nolan is three and is in Sick Kids Hospital being treated for Leukemia. I will be delivering Super Heroes tomorrow. Unfortunately I am not allowed to take any pictures of this delivery as no cameras are allowed on the floors for confidentiality reasons.

Once again I'd like to thank all members for their patience. I should hopefully have the group up and running again in a few months.
