Hey Up, our Rita!

From now on, think I'm gonna call you 'Twinklefingers' - what adorable hats! I love both of the new ones too - for some reason, the white and yellow put me in mind of pineapple chunks?? Very yummy. (I really shouldn't come on here when I'm clemp't)

The green and white Fair Isle is so lovely too - beautiful colours that go so well together!

Thank you so much! You and Julie are

Hi Alicia - Thanks for your kind comment on the daft little hat.

I hate to ask but are you looking forward to coming back to the sunny UK?

We're having the usual start to 'Flaming June' - people in the south of England were expecting to get a month's rain last night - (greedy beggars)

OK - before you head for the airport, you have got strict instructions to bring some sunshine with you - it's getting to be as rare as Caron Yarn over here and needed just as badly.

Right - now I'm off again to be mean and green and go and eat some worms.

(No -I haven't a clue what the photo is in aid of, either) but worms is worms.

Hiya Julie

What's gotten into me is exactly the same as gets into every Brit - I haven't come across one person yet who hasn't tried jelly babies.

Whenever I'm introduced to anybody, my first question always is 'Do you like jelly babies?' Don't you realise that it's an essential part of being a Brit? It's compulsory!!!!

People all over the UK, once they've commented about the weather, always ask each other 'Do you like Jelly Babies or Dolly Mixtures' - it's a sort of defining question - No Brit born goes around without knowing if their friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues, nurses, doctors, teachers, fire, ambulance and police are partial to the Dollies or the Jellies.

If you ever come over here, Rita and I will give you a guided tour on English etiquette - and then you will realise just how utterly vital it is to have the above-mentioned information.

Not knowing whether someone is a Jelly or a Dolly is worse than not knowing which football team they support, or if they like cricket and rugby. It's unthinkable - you just cannot survive socially without this essential piece of knowledge, which I have so kindly given, free-of-charge! I wouldn't do that for everyone - so you're very honoured.

All the Best
Ellie
